Day Two – Tiny Humans and Water Bowl Chaos

It’s your girl, Moxxie, back with another purrfectly entertaining update from my wild and wonderful new life. Buckle up, because today’s adventure includes some tiny humans, a water bowl extravaganza, and, of course, my long-suffering cat sister, Millie.

So, it’s Day Two in my new home, and I’ve got to say, I’m settling in just fine. My humans, who are a mix of big and small (and one of them stayed home with me today instead of going to something called Jiu Jitsu – whatever that is), are just the best. Let’s focus on the tiny ones, though. These teenagers are like mini-giants who have endless energy for playing with me. They’re always laughing and ready to toss a toy or dangle a feather wand. It’s the kitten’s dream come true!

This morning, I discovered a new favorite pastime: playing in water bowls. Who knew that these little pools of water could be so much fun? I started with a cautious paw dip, then a full-on splash fest! Water everywhere! The splashing sound is hilarious, and the look on my human mom’s face when she saw the puddle was priceless. She didn’t even get mad – just laughed and called me a “little troublemaker.” I’m pretty sure that’s human speak for “adorable.”

Now, because my mom stayed home, I didn’t get into as much trouble as I probably could have. No climbing the furniture today (though it's definitely on my to-do list). Instead, I focused my attention on my cat sister, Millie. She’s older and likes to think she’s all dignified and above the kitten chaos. Naturally, I see this as a challenge.

I spent a good part of the afternoon pouncing on her tail, batting at her ears, and generally being the lovable pest that I am. Millie tried to ignore me at first, pretending to be all cool and indifferent, but I could see the flicker of her tail – she was getting annoyed. Score one for Moxxie! Finally, after one particularly daring pounce, she swatted at me. Success! I made her react! Of course, she didn’t really hurt me – just a gentle reminder that she’s not to be messed with. But hey, all in good fun, right?

Meanwhile, my Shiba Inu siblings, Miku and Max, were busy doing their own thing. Miku is the quieter one, probably plotting world domination or something, and Max? Well, he’s always zipping around like he’s had too much catnip. I tried to get them to join in my water bowl game, but they just gave me that “cats are weird” look and went back to their Shiba business.

As the day wound down, I curled up in my favorite spot on the couch, basking in the glow of a day well spent. My humans snuggled up next to me, and we all watched some moving pictures on the big box (I think it’s called TV – humans are strange). It was purrfection.

So, there you have it – Day Two in my fabulous new life. Full of splashes, swats, and snuggles. Stay tuned for more misadventures with me and my gang. Who knows what kind of trouble I’ll find tomorrow?

Paws and whiskers,
Moxxie 🐾
